Mouth Bleeding in Kids are the most common injury because of cuts to the soft tissues. Usually parents don’t take it seriously but sometimes ignorance can be dangerous. Do you know that unattained injure can create a problem later.
Most common causes of bleeding from the mouth could be damage to a tooth or cuts to the mouth lining, lips & tongues etc.
How to Stop or Treat Mouth Bleeding
> Firstly don’t panic and tell your kid to sit with his head tilted forward, this will help the blood to drain away. Also you can give a bowl to him to spit into.
> Wash your hands before starting the treatment.
> Take a clean cloth and apply the pressure for several minutes on the wound to stop the bedding.
> If the wound is on lips or outside area of the month then wash it gently with water. Do not try to scrub the injured area.
> If your kid wound continues to bleed, take a fresh gauze pad or sponges and pressure the area again for 10 more minutes.
> To reduce the bleeding and swelling you can give your child an ice cube to suck
> You can also apply an antiseptic lotion or cream.

Treating a Knocked Out Yooth
> Replant the tooth
The best mistakes parents do is that they try to replant the knocked out tooth in kid’s mouth. You can replant the knocked tooth only in case of adults. If an adult tooth is knocked out then try to replant it in socket as soon as possible. And in case it’s not possible then keep the tooth in milk or water till adult reaches to victims.
If a baby tooth is knocked out, kindly do not attempt to replant it. Just take him to doctor.
> Control bleeding
If the knocked out tooth cannot be found after the injury than place a thick gauze pad across the socket and make it sure that pad stands higher than the teeth on either side of the gap.
What not to do in Mouth Bleeding
Don’t use tissue on cut area because the paper can be suck on the blood. And maybe it can increase the size of cut.
Don’t rinse away the blood – this is the worst thing to do because it will prevent the blood from clotting.

> Don’t allow kids to eat chew gums. Maybe by mistaken he bite his own tongue.
