How to Deal with Postpartum Sweating

Why no one has told me anything about Postpartum Sweating. Many new mothers did not know the reason behind Sweating After C-Section or Normal Delivery (Postpartum Sweating). There are so many issues and changes new mothers are facing after having a baby that they get confused.

Suddenly after delivery I started sweating like a hell and feeling very hot especially in night. I had my delivery in peak summer time therefore I thought may be due to that I am sweating too much. As my baby was few days old my husband doesn’t allow me to put the Air Condition on 22 degree or on 24 degree Celsius, due to which I wasn’t able to sleep well. In a meanwhile I had my regular appointment with my gynaecologist and discuss about this problem with her.

Reason for Postpartum Sweating:

My Gynaecologist said this is happening because my blood is getting rid of all the extra fluids that have been accumulated during my pregnancy and this will go in one to two months. In my case it took around 4 months to go (whole summer).

But there is no need to keep the AC temperature at 28 degrees, in hospitals also AC temperature is maintained around 24 degrees. We can cover the baby well in AC as babies also don’t like the hot weather.

Is there Any Solution to get rid from Postpartum Sweating?

BIG NO, no solution for this problem it will go its own. You can just keep below things to keep you little bit relief:

> Wear cotton cloth – light weight

> Try to sleep just below the AC unit and keep the baby in middle of bed

> Wear loose clothes and may one piece

> Drink lots of water – less water intake may cause urine infection.

A Urine Infection chance is very high after delivery.
