5 Reasons Why Tickling to Babies and Toddlers are Not Funny at all

All Parents love Tickling their Babies on Feet and Tummy to see them Giggle and Laugh loud by making Funny Faces. But do you know there are many instances when babies don’t like to be tickled and their strange faces misunderstood as to their enjoyment? Many experts have different theories in which they explain that not all babies like to be tickled and we should know the reasons and hints.

1 # It Build Irritations in Your Child :

Let’s understand this by an example when someone tries to touch your face or press it very hard in a funny or loving way, it does not mean that you are also enjoying it. Somewhere in your mind, you would like to tell him to move his hand from your face immediately and not to repeat it again ever. Babies are too small to have faces and expressions of irritations so they many funny faces even when they are not really happy, so we should try to understand which activities they are really enjoying and which others are making them irritated.

2 # Tickling Time

Babies just like we are not in the same mood throughout the day, there are some times when they just want to relax or sleep and don’t want to be disturbed. We should not tickle them at that time as it will make them hate tickling.

3 # Tickling is a Shock in Some Cases

Tickling a sleeping baby may send baby in shock as they wake up in hurry without knowing what happened to him and may spoil his mood for quite some time. We should only tickle our babies when we are playing with them so that they can understand and related tickling feeling too funny activity. So eat whenever they experience tickling they can safely predict that someone is trying to play with them.

4 # Say No to your Relatives and Friends:

We should not overdo tickling, as this is a very tiring thing for a baby,  he is laughing and using lots of energy in doing the same. Babies cannot speak and inform us to stop tickling them so we should not do it in longer durations to make sure baby is not tired or uncomfortable in this activity.

5 # It’s a Myth that Tickling Cause Stuttering in a Child?

There is no survey or theory, which support this myth. As Stuttering tends to run in families and it appears that stuttering can result from inherited (genetic) abnormalities. Stuttering can sometimes result from a stroke, trauma or other brain injuries, it does not relate to Tickling.
