For parents watching their Babies growing, gives them immense pleasure. You must be worried that is your baby is doing well in terms of growth and development. Well, we all do research and ask these common questions to our pediatrician, regarding which they will let you know a few baby milestone points.

Don’t be in a hurry to jump on any conclusions if you watch your Baby is doing less activity as compared to her or his growing months. Below are some points which will help you to keep a track on your Baby Milestones from 6 to 9 months

Baby Growth & Development from 6 to 9 Months

Gross Motor Skills (Physical Skills)

> By the 6 months, your Baby should be able to start to roll over from stomach to back and back to stomach very easily and must be doing this very frequently.

> Now your baby may be can sit by themselves and without any support.

> Must have started standing while holding onto furniture

> Starts crawling

> Transfers objects from one hand to the other hand.

> Must be having good control over their body

> They will love to explore toys by touching and shaking them

> Putting toys in their mouths or other things too – Be very careful

 

Communication Skills

> Recognize your face and Look at you when you speak

> Smile laughs and plays with everyone they meet.

> Play games like Peek-a-boo (Hide n seek)

> Love watching television like Baby TV etc

> Responds to the sound of rhymes and watch rhymes video on television

> Make sounds like Babbles, Giggles, Cooing & Gurgling, etc

> Responds to their name

> Reacts to loud voices

 

Eating & Drinking

> Now it’s time to start giving solid food to your baby like cereal, juice, soup, etc

> Start eating thick food and vegetable puree & mashed (After they are boiled or steamed in the pressure cooker)

> Start having food like dal ka pani, rice water, cereal food etc.

> Sit on High Chair for eating food at lunch or dinner time

> Try to hold the cup for them to have water

> Easily hold the water & milk bottle with two hands

> Must be eating Finger Foods

 

Social & Emotional Development 

> Till now babies have developed a strong attachment for their parents

> Show happiness to see family members and other people around

> Can understand your voice emotions like love, care & angry.

> Understand words like “No” and “Come” here very easily

> Show displeasure if taken away from a parent.

> Show affection and love to people around

> They must have started playing small games with you.

> Crying because they are leaving you
